Nu, concediul de maternitate nu-i vacanță!
Am fost ieri la babysit, la o familie cu 4 copii, şi am avut nevoie de câteva ore de somn, înainte de somnul de seară, ca să-mi revin. Şi am stat numai vreo 5 ore, timp în care m-am jucat cu copiii şi i-am dus în parc. Nu curățenie, spălat haine, sau alte sarcini pe care o mămică le are.
Familiile pentru care lucrez au oameni angajați la curățenie, care vin de câteva ori pe săptămână, deci jobul meu e să fac activități cu copiii, să-i înscriu la diferite activități, să-i scot în parc, să le dau de mâncare, să le fac băiță, să facem teme etc. Nu am toate sarcinile pe care un părinte care stă acasă cu copiii le are, şi tot ajung epuizată acasă, cu toate că ador să lucrez cu copii.
Când aud pe cineva că se referă la “concediul de maternitate” ca la o vacanță, simt că explodez. La fel şi când aud/citesc poveşti ale femeilor care stau acasă cu copiii şi nu sunt apreciate, nu sunt ajutate de partener, sau, mai rău, sunt făcute să se simtă inferior în vreun fel…de parcă nu ar fi un job full-time (cu multe, multe ore suplimentare neplătite).
Aici, cu cleaner, grădinar şi ajutor, multe femei se plâng (pe bună dreptate) că e mai greu acasă decât la muncă, şi abia aşteaptă să se întoarcă la muncă pentru a mai avea timp să respire. Şi le înțeleg perfect! Nu lucrez 24 de ore, cum lucrează părinții, şi totuşi am avut multe zile când am simțit că nici timp să respir bine nu am avut, cu copii care şi la WC vor să intre cu tine, ca să-şi termine povestea. Iar eu la sfârşitul programului vin acasă, şi mă pot deconecta de la tot, cu o pizza vegetariană în poale şi cu Netflix-ul în față. Dar mămica/tăticul ce stă acasă, nu are nici luxul ăsta, să se deconecteze, că poate sunt întrerupți de 5 ori, şi filmul nu a ajuns nici măcar la jumătate.
Deci da, să stai acasă cu copilul/copiii nu-i DELOC concediu şi relaxare. Eu zic că-i muncă fizică şi psihică. Cu multe momente frumoase, sunt sigură de asta, dar cu multă oboseală.
